The tax guy for the small fry

Welcome to the  Tax Guy for the Small Fry

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

John has retired and is not taking on any new business. The business name “The Tax Guy for the Small Fry”, this website (taxguy.com.au) and John’s custom TAXGUY number plates are all for sale.

Please do not contact John in relation to taxation matters. John hopes to soon have some books available for sale – more information about these coming soon!

After 45 years of change to the way tax returns have been prepared I retired from working at the same office in the Sydney suburb of Brookvale.

My tax site is now a site  no longer looking for business but is an avenue for changes to the current system in place.

Hopefully my writings over the years will for the first time be made public through this media alone. The main reason I commenced writing was caused by a client suggesting I write a book.

My business name is””tax guy for the small fry.”

This my plight for every taxpayer who said

why is my refund less than last year?

And who thought Why do I have to use a tax agent?

The system has caused that question to be asked the moment offsets were introduced and outright tax deductions were negated for former claims of private health insurance premiums, medical expenses for those with chronic illnesses and the predicament of the aged in nursing homes.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. People still being charged for instalments of income tax for future tax bills even though they have failed the administrative maze of running their own business through an ABN when they were formally employed and now have found employment but for how long?

I have always considered my self as a lone wolf. A voice in the wilderness.

Tiger Lilly Recruitment

No matter how impossible it may seem to the employer at the start of the brief to find the ideal candidate - if we say we can do it, we deliver. The reason why we have such a high success rate is due to the screening tools and training we have available to our consultants as well as each consultant is a specialist in the area they recruit in, we would rather decline a role if we do not feel that we can do the role or the client justice.

Who is the Tax Guy?

Many qualified accountants don’t do small returns. John loves it! A chance to help the Aussie battler, who sometimes just doesn’t know what tax concessions he or she is entitled to, in a professional manner
